4/4 + 4/4 = 4/4
4/4 + 3/4 = 7/8
4/4 + 1/2 = 3/4
4/4 + 1/4 = 5/8
1/2 + 1/2 = 1/2
5/8 + 1/4 = 7/16
3/4 + 0 = 3/8
5/8 + 0 = 5/16
1/4 + 1/4 = 1/4

Blood quantum's below one-quarter (1/4) are NOT eligible for membership.

The following are examples of how to compute blood quantum's, followed by a list of the most commonly recorded Yaqui blood quantum's.

Example 1

The child is half of what their Yaqui parent's blood quantum is, therefore he gets 1/2 blood quantum from the father and 1/4 blood quantum from the mother, making his blood quantum 3/4 Yaqui blood.

Example 2

The child is half of what their Yaqui parent's blood quantum is, therefore he gets 1/4 Yaqui blood from the father and 0 Yaqui blood from the mother, making his blood quantum 1/4 Yaqui blood.
