26,125 Square Foot Facility is Newest and Largest Fire Station in Tucson

(Tucson, Ariz.) – June 1, 2004On Thursday June3,2004 the Pascua Yaqui Tribe opens Tucson’s newest and largest fire station in Southern Arizona. The new Pascua Pueblo Fire Station #1 is 26,125 square feet and has four fire truck bays to hold three brand new public safety vehicles including a new ambulance, a new pumper fire truck and a 100 foot aerial ladder truck.

The 26,125 square foot fire station building was built with federal grant funds and Tribal support made possible with gaming revenue. The new fire station will support quicker response time to regional public safety incidents. The new training capability could further improve rapid response to local emergency situations.
