The Hiaki Language: The Letter "M"

Lios em chaniavu, ketchem allea Kompaalem, Koomalem, anhelitom yoemia si'ime yeu tahtia. Haivu Mayo meecha. Tata mecha itou weye.

Greetings Compadres, Comadres, young people out there! It is already the month of May. The summer will be upon us once again.

This month we are featuring the letter "M." We have many words that begin with this letter, so this month we are offering twenty words instead of our usual fifteen words. I would like to thank Language

Instruction Assistant Irene Alvarez for her choice of words. Irene is a Hiaki language student, and as you can see, she did well in selecting our words for the month. Our move'im are off to her this month. For those of you have been following our words each month, see if you can guess what "move'im" means.
