Lent is a season that we, the Hiaki truly respect and cherish and we genuinely care for it. On this earth, we Hiaki have many traditions that we carry out. Our Hiaki truths were left to us by our elders. And now they, our elders are resting in the Holy Grounds, with an occasional breeze which touches the flowers and soil around their graves. If it was not for our elders, we would not have their truths and traditions which we carry out still and which we like to talk about. Perhaps we do not carry out things as they did in the old days, perhaps they are not totally complete as they used to be, but we still try to do our traditions the best way that we know how. Thus, we must continue to work together, to respect one another and to thank each other once we have completed our traditional ways. We must also teach our children to carry out our truths the way they have always been carried out to this day. This is all I have to say on this topic. Thank you very much..
