Our dream is to create brilliant Hiak Ewame (Yaqui Thinkers) in a safe and compassionate learning environment based on the teaching of Itom Yoyowam Tukau (Our Elders)

Our Mission

We will create a learning approach that is built on the strengths of our children that fosters creativity and promotes brilliant Hiak Ewame through the commitment of:

• The Training and Development of Staff, Parents, and Families

• Community Partnerships

• Modeling Kindness, Respect, and Love

• Promoting the Positive Development of the Social Emotional Health of Our Children’s

Hiak Lutu’uria – Yaqui Truth

To experience love and peace. To be resilient and faithful. To live a life with a clean heart and a clean mind. That is our purpose – to nourish Itom Utte’a (Our Strength) and to flourish into beautiful Seewam (Flowers). We strengthen and nourish our Itom Lutu’uria (Our Truth) by learning about Tekipanoa (Work) and our five worlds: Sea Ania (Flower World), Tuka Ania (Night World), Yo Ania (Enchanted World), Tenku Ania (Dream World), and Huya Ania (Wilderness World). We always have!

By learning about Tekipanoa, we restore and strengthen our relationships with our plants, animals, and spiritual relatives, as well as the Universe. We do so with the help of Itom Lutu’uria (Our Truth)- our community, our family, and our ceremonies, Itom Yoyowam Tukau, and Itom Achai O’ola (Our Creator)

We are Yaqui – our language, culture, ceremonies, and spirituality will continue to exist and flourish for our Children and our People.
