Children and Family Team Manager: Courtney Otto

Courtney Otto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Children’s Program Manager for the Centered Spirit Program. She earned her MSW from Loyola University of Chicago in 2003.

Ms. Otto was one of few interns awarded a paid internship at the North Chicago VA Medical Center. There she completed two rotations on the Stress Disorder Treatment Unit, an intensive inpatient unit for veterans suffering from chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. During this time, she was introduced to different trauma processing models and developed a profound interest in the treatment of stress disorders which she later applied to her work with children and families.

Over the years, Ms. Otto has trained and obtained consultation/supervision in various trauma processing models, family systems models and directive and non-directive play therapy models. She has worked as a child and family clinician in community mental health from 2003 until 2015 first in Seattle, Washington and then at La Frontera Center in Tucson where she was recognized as a Child Sexual Abuse Specialty Provider.

Ms. Otto arrived to the Centered Spirit Program in January, 2015. She is honored to be part of a highly skilled and compassionate team who share her commitment to delivering quality clinical services to children and families wherever the needs arise.
